VTEEA 2022 Summer Conference

On July 26, the Driven to Protect team took part in the Virginia Technology and Engineering Education Association (VTEEA) 2022 Summer Conference in Winchester, VA. This was our first time attending this conference and was an excellent way to connect with a group of accomplished scientists, engineers, and educators.

VTEEA incentivized attendees to visit the various exhibitor booths through a bingo-style card that entered them into a grand prize drawing. Driven to Protect was thrilled to engage with a wider audience this way. At our booth, guests were invited to use a prototype alcohol detection sensor that exemplifies the future of traffic safety. In keeping with past successful events, a QR code at the booth directed educators to the Discovery Hub and a form to submit their contact information and interest in engaging with Driven to Protect.

VTEEA facilitated great connections between educators and STEM professionals, particularly some in Southwest Virginia where we hope to further expand our reach. We look forward to connecting with the contacts made here and engaging with similar technology and engineering audiences in the future!
