VADETS Conference

On Sunday, July 10, 2022, Driven to Protect attended the 2022 Virginia Association of Driver Education and Traffic Safety (VADETS) Conference held at James Madison University. VADETS aims to improve the quality of driver education in the commonwealth, and most attendees were driver education professionals.

While visiting the Driven to Protect exhibit and demonstration vehicle, guests came armed with thoughtful questions about the capacity of the technology to detect other forms of impaired driving and its ability to resist tampering or circumvention.

A QR code at the exhibit linked to an online survey, which granted instant feedback about the program and allowed educators to specify how they’d like to get involved with Driven to Protect. Several driver education professionals expressed interest in having DADSS representatives and vehicles visit their schools, as well as incorporating the Discovery Hub content into their classes.

We look forward to building on these relationships and continuing to exhibit the technology across Virginia!
