Katie’s Coffee and Cars

On September 24, the Driven to Protect team showcased a demonstration vehicle outfitted with the DADSS technology at Katie’s Coffee and Cars in Great Falls, Virginia. Katie’s Cars and Coffee is a weekly event held on Saturday mornings drawing in car enthusiasts from Virginia, DC, and Maryland. On the Saturday of attendance, more than 225 vehicles were on display, and over 50 people stopped by to learn about Driven to Protect and the demonstration vehicle.

Attendees learned about the Driven to Protect Initiative through direct, in-person interactions with the latest generation of the DADSS breath sensors. The Driven to Protect team educated visitors about the dangers of impaired driving, how Virginia is leading the nation in piloting the DADSS sensors, and how the breath sensor technology will soon be available in all new vehicles. Overall, it was a great way to share more in-depth information about the DADSS technology with community members actively engaged in the car community.
