Driven to Protect Participates in NSC Transportation Technology Panel

On October 7, 2020, Driven to Protect participated in a Transportation Technology Webinar hosted by the National Safety Council (NSC). The webinar featured a panel of speakers from various industries who came together to provide an overview of different driver safety support technologies. The discussion focused on how these technologies can help decrease deaths on roadways and support driver safety, and how they can be implemented in both large and small organizations.

Rob Strassburger, president and CEO of the Automotive Coalition for Traffic Safety, Inc., and George Bishop, deputy commissioner of the Virginia Department of Motor Vehicles, represented Driven to Protect. They provided an overview of the DADSS alcohol detection technology and discussed challenges around implementation and potential solutions to overcome them. The webinar was also a great opportunity for Driven to Protect to share more about the initiative’s progress and goals.

“A significant component of our program is to develop user awareness and acceptance of our technology, so that when our technology is ready to push to market, the consumer or user is helping to pull it into the marketplace.” – Rob Strassburger
