DADSS Representatives Participate in the Governors Highway Safety Association (GHSA) Annual Meeting

From August 27 through 31, representatives of the Driver Alcohol Detection System for Safety (DADSS) Research Program are pleased to participate in the 2016 Annual Meeting of the Governors Highway Safety Association (GHSA) in Seattle: “Crossroads: The Intersection of Technology and Driver Behavior.”

During the five days of the conference, DADSS representatives will be on hand to exhibit early prototypes of the in-vehicle breath-based and touch-based alcohol detection system technologies with GHSA members and give them a chance to experience the technology.

State highway officials know the dangerous effects of drunk driving up close and personal and are on the front lines in implementing programs to address behavioral highway safety issues. Through GHSA leadership, partnerships and advocacy, States and Territories move toward zero deaths on the nation’s roadways.

As DADSS Research Program progresses, we look forward to working closely with GHSA members, who will be important partners as we move the research forward and one day introduce the technology as a consumer option.
