On June 19th, Driven to Protect participated in the 2019 Youth of Virginia Speak Out (YOVASO) Summer Leadership Retreat at James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Virginia.
The annual YOVASO retreat included four days of exciting, motivational, and educational activities preparing teens and adult supervisors to lead effective peer-to-peer clubs for youth traffic safety. Approximately 125 students from high schools throughout Virginia attended the event. The Driven to Protect team displayed the demo vehicles to give students the opportunity to check out the DADSS technology. The students asked great questions and were enthusiastic about interacting with the demo vehicles. We enjoyed giving them the chance to learn more about Driven to Protect and having great discussions about the system’s potential to prevent drunk driving.
We had a great time and are looking forward to next year’s retreat!
