In October 2019, the Driven to Protect team attended at the annual Manassas Fall Jubilee in Historic Downtown Manassas, Virginia. This highly recognized craft and artisan festival attracted nearly 30,000 people from across Virginia and the metro D.C. area.
The Driven to Protect demonstration vehicle was on hand to show off the DADSS technology in a real-world environment and educate attendees about the partnership between the DADSS Program and the Virginia DMV. Many people stopped by the vehicle to share their experiences with drunk driving, including several who had been convicted of driving under the influence. They all agreed that the DADSS technology holds great potential for preventing DUIs.
We enjoyed interacting with so many enthusiastic visitors from across the Commonwealth, and hearing their stories reinforced the need for an innovative solution to the problem of drink driving. Thanks to everyone who stopped by to learn about the mission and goals of Driven to Protect!
